Fountain Hills Named 'Best Affordable Suburb' in Arizona

Fountain Hills was named Arizona's 'Best Affordable Suburb' in the 2/19/09 on-line edition of BusinessWeek, edging out other communities near Phoenix with populations of 5,000 to 60,000.  Locations were reviewed for their livability, education, crime, economy and affordability. Other factors were the town's "natural beauty", proximity to the McDowell Mountains and outdoor activities such as boating, hiking and golfing. Access the entire article here.

  Fountain Hills Named #1 In Phoenix Magazine''s Annual "Best Places to Live" In The Valley

The May, 2006 issue calls Fountain Hills "a welcome oasis on the outskirts of a metropolis."  That''s something residents already knew!

The magazine measured the quality of life in 22 Valley communities, including a statistical analysis of each community''s population, median household income,median home price in 2001 and 2005, property tax rate, crime, school test scores, student-teacher ratio, park acreage, miles to Sky Harbor Airport and square feet of retail.  Fountain Hills not only made the Top 10, but came in #1.
