The May, 2006 issue calls Fountain Hills "a welcome oasis on the outskirts of a metropolis." Something resident's already knew!

 

The magazine measured the quality of life in 22 Valley communities, including a statistical analysis of each community's population, median household income,median home price in 2001 and 2005, property tax rate, crime, school test scores, student-teacher ratio, park acreage, miles to Sky Harbor Airport and square feet of retail. Fountain Hills not only made the Top 10 but came in #1.
